Our new nephew, Bradley Lauper

Today we got to visit with Karina, my sister, and her husband, Adam and their new baby, Bradley Maxwell Lauper, born last Wednesday morning. He was adorable, and such a good baby! Karina looks gorgeous, of course, not even a week after the baby is born. Bradley is doing well, and I even got to rock him to sleep! It was a fun time, and fun to see my mom before she goes back to Utah this Sunday. Can't wait to do the same with Cindel and Ryan's new baby, coming in a few weeks! Congrats to the Laupers!

To Facebook, or Not to Facebook...

This past weekend my mom was staying with us to help me out with a minor operation I had. While she was here, she let me look at her Facebook page a few times to show me some pictures of people, etc. And as I looked, for the first time I actually thought, maybe I should join Facebook. After all, I'm like the only one left on the planet who isn't part of it (along with Joel, of course). But the way I see it, Facebook would just be one more thing I have to manage in my life, to worry about--just another online responsiblity. So I'm asking all of you to tell me: Why should I join Facebook? What has it done for you in your life? Has it added meaning? Or has it only been another way to waste time? Is it addicting, or can you say to yourself, I'm only going on Facebook once a day for 15 minutes? I need you to sell me on Facebook, and maybe I'll just join.

But don't even get me started about Twitter. Baby steps...

Good luck, Karina and Adam! We are waiting anxiously for Bradley to come!
Happy Birthday, Dad! I should have mentioned that on my last post, since it was your birthday.
And thanks Mom, for all your help this weekend!

The Princess and the Frog

If you haven't seen this movie yet, I HIGHLY recommend it. Disney made a great movie, without Pixar! I was really skeptical about it, considering the last 2-D movies to come out by Disney were not good, but this one really proved that Disney animation isn't a lost art--they can still make a great movie. And my kids loved it, too! The music was great, the characters, the story, parts of the animation were beautiful and amazing, and by the end I was crying. But I'll admit, I usually cry during any Disney movie or at Disneyland, too. Anyway, a GREAT movie worth seeing if you haven't already. If you have, tell me what you thought about it!

Blake is a big Sunbeam!

He may be the youngest Sunbeam, but he sure was excited to go. He loves his ties (thanks Grandma) and likes to look just like Daddy. He also has to have his hair brushed so he can look "handsome." Right before we left for church, he messed up his hair accidentally, and started crying, and said, "Now I'm not handsome!" He has the best primary teachers--the Stengels--and a great class. It was my last Sunday in primary since I just got released yesterday, so I'm glad I could be there to see him on his first day. Both my kids are in primary now! Crazy.
